2009 (P) Lincoln Cent - Presidency - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1c-2009(PW)-01
Error
Description
ADC-1c-2009(PW)-01 is an atypical die clash on a 2009-P Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Presidency in Washington reverse, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. MDC reports it as the first clashed Presidency cent it had seen. Strong marks from the reverse design sit on Lincoln's head as well as in front of and behind it. They include parts of the Capitol dome along with the scaffolding and rigging on the roof. Bays of the facade run across Lincoln's cheek and nose and around the field near the nose, and arched entryways from the building's lower level show in his hair. To the left of his head are part of the roofline and some windows, and a piece of the N from CENT comes off his forehead. On the reverse, part of the outline of the Y from LIBERTY can be seen above the left side of the roof.
