Description
2025-P IBW WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 2025-P Ida B. Wells quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. Strong doubling to the east shows on the OD of GOD, the hair detail and the eyelid, and the upper hair detail and the eyelid show tripling. Obverse markers: a gouge under the date's last 2; a small gouge over the G of GOD; a gouge over the R of LIBERTY; and a gouge left of the Y of LIBERTY. Reverse markers: a crack across Wells' upper left arm; a gouge over the first L of WELLS; a small gouge between the D and A of IDA; and a thin NW/SE scratch left of Wells' head. Ron Fry submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
