Description
Moderate extra thickness shows on the date and slight extra thickness shows on LIBERTY. The upper left of the Y in LIBERTY is slightly thicker than the upper right of the Y. Light notching shows on the lower right corners of the ERTY in LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A die gouge can be found above E in LIBERTY. A die gouge can be found right of upper N in IN. Several small die gouges (dots) can be found below Lincoln's ear. Obverse Stage B: Die gouge above E slightly weaker. Die gouge right of upper N and die gouges under the ear weaker. New die gouge well above T in LIBERTY. Several small grouped die gouges (dots) are present well above LI in LIBERTY. Two small die chips are present on the lower left first 2 in the date. Reverse Stage A: Die chips on lower right C and E in CENT. Die gouge under left side of E in ONE. Light die crack under LURI in PLURIBUS. Reverse Stage B: All stage A markers still visible. A die gouge (dot) can be found to the left of the J in JFM. Die gouges (dots) inside lower left R and above left side of I in PLURIBUS. Obverse Stage A:
