The 2020 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Commemorative Five Dollar Gold is a United States five-dollar gold coin from the Modern Commemorative Five Dollar Gold (1984-Date) series. In 2020 the West Point Mint struck 3,263 uncirculated and 8,075 proof Basketball Hall of Fame five-dollar gold coins, 11,338 in all. The curved coin shows three players reaching for the ball, with the rim and net behind, on its obverse, and a basketball about to pass through the net on its reverse. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. Struck in 90% gold, 6% silver and 4% copper.
