Description
Doubling shows above the 5th, 7th, and 9th vertical stripes on the shield. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge (dot) shows to the right of lower U in TRUST. A die flow line runs north to the rim from the upper right edge of the U in TRUST. A die chip shows on lower T in LIBERTY. A die crack arcs over the top of Lincoln’s eyebrow and is joined by a perpendicular die crack running NNW through the front of the forehead. A tiny die gouge (dot) shows at the margin of Lincoln’s upper central forehead and the hairline. Reverse: A die gouge shows at the rim above the R in AMERICA. A die crack shows on the upper shield edge above the letters LUR in PLURIBUS. A die gouge (dot) shows on the vertical stripe above the N in CENT. A die gouge shows on the center lower stripe of the shield.
