Description

Doubling on this 2017 Ozark Riverways quarter presents as two extra stones at the top right of the cellar window — a clean shift that separates it from close relatives WDDR-001, WDDR-011, WDDR-026, and WDDR-034. The distinguishing feature is an additional stone along the left side of the window. Catalogued as Wexler 2017-P 25¢ MO WDDR-036. Obverse die markers: a die gouge between the A and R in QUARTER; a second gouge at the lower inside of the U in QUARTER; three very small parallel gouges at the rim right of the mintmark P. Reverse markers include two weak die gouges left of the roof, a die gouge in the field below the left side of the first R in RIVERWAYS, and a die gouge touching the branch below the right side of the A in OZARK. America the Beautiful quarters ran as a clad series from 2010 through 2021, and the Wexler Files documented dozens of attributable DDR varieties across the program. The cellar window stones provide a reliable visual anchor for confirming WDDR-036 attribution. Reverse: Two weak die gouges left of the roof.Submitted By: George W.
