Description
2016 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2016 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The designer's initials LB show significant extra thickness. On the obverse, a small gouge lies well east of the chin. On the reverse, one small gouge lies below the A in STATES and another above the scroll, north of CENT's T, and a crack crosses the shield's top left with small chips above the R of PLURIBUS. Robert Piazza submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
