Description
2016 WDDO-018 is a doubled die obverse on the 2016 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show extra thickness; the Y's top right branch is thicker than its top left one, and the ERTY is notched at the lower left. On the obverse, one small gouge (dot) lies well south of LIBERTY's B and another lies right of the D in GOD. On the reverse, a crack follows the shield's top left, with chips above the URI of PLURIBUS. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
