2016 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-023
ErrorDescription
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the third and fourth windows from the left in the bottom row. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A die gouge can be found to the left of the tip of the nose. Obverse Stage B: Stage A gouge very weak but still present. Die crack across the base of the bust with die chips over the designer's initials, the last R in QUARTER, and the D in DOLLAR. Die gouge inside the upper left Q in QUARTER. Die gouge between the I and C in AMERICA. Mintmark P nearly abraded away. The Stage B gouges may be present in earlier stages. Reverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found above the left side of the O in JOHN. Reverse Stage B: Stage A marker very weak but still present. Die crack from the bottom right corner of the building to the right building. Short die crack E from the top of the guard tower. Light NW/SE feeder finger scrapes in the second doorway. Die gouge left of the F in FORT. The Stage B gouges may be present in earlier stages.
