Description

2016-P WV WDDR-021 is a doubled die reverse on the 2016-P Harpers Ferry National Historical Park quarter (West Virginia) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling lies in the windows of the arch over the central doorway: window 4, counting from the left, in both the bottom row and the row second from the bottom. Obverse markers: a NW/SE scratch between STATES' E and S; gouges right of QUARTER's U, SE of the P mint mark, between TRUST's S and T, and under STATES' first S. Reverse markers: short cracks running NE off the second and third barrels; many NE/SW scratches over and left of the building; a gouge over the left building; and another gouge between the B and R of BROWN'S, up at their tops. Alfonso Lopez submitted the variety, with additional die markers from a coin sent in by George W. Powell, Jr. Wexler lists no cross-references.
