Description
2016-P WV WDDR-015 is a doubled die reverse on the 2016-P Harpers Ferry National Historical Park quarter (West Virginia) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling lies in the windows of the arch over the central doorway: windows 3 and 4, counting from the left, in the lowest row. Obverse markers: a gouge under the left side of TRUST's S; a gouge beside the top of UNITED's N, on its left; and NE/SW scratches over LIBERTY's Y. On the reverse, two gouges lie just right of the left roof, and another gouge sits between the branches under FERRY. Aaron Laramee submitted the variety, with additional die markers from a coin sent in by George W. Powell, Jr. Wexler lists no cross-references.
