2016 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-002
ErrorDescription
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the first 4 windows from the left in the bottom row of windows. Slight doubling shows in the second row in earlier die stages. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Small die chip between the J and F in the designer's initials. Small die gouge above the first L in DOLLAR. Small die gouge above the left side of the T in QUARTER. Die gouge touches the right side of the B in LIBERTY. Small die gouge between the tops of the U and S in TRUST. Obverse Stage B: Stage A die gouge above the L still present. All other Stage A die gouges abraded away. Large die chip formed left of the designer's initials with a long die crack extending W. Die gouge above the left side of the B in LIBERTY. Die gouge left of the first A in STATES. Obverse Stage C: Stage B die gouges above B and left of S abraded away. Other stage B gouge above L still present, though this may be a new gouge by this stage just coincidentally in the same location. Additional die chips formed on the bust right of the designer's initials and above the TE in QUARTER. Reverse Stage A: WNW/ESE die scratch in the left opening of the guard tower. Two large die gouges right of the S in BROWN'S. Large die gouge below the J in JOHN. Reverse Stage B: Stage A die scratch still present. Stage A die gouges not noted but should be present, though maybe weak. Die gouge right of the branches below FERRY. Reverse Stage C: Stage B scratch abraded away. Stage B gouge weak but still present. Heavy die flow, no notable markers.
