Positioned at WDDR-035 in the Wexler system — Wexler Variety ID 2016-P 25¢ WV WDDR-035 — this doubled die reverse falls in the Harpers Ferry issue's DDR catalog. Collectors pursuing comprehensive die variety sets face a genuine challenge, as accumulating distinct varieties from a single date and mint requires extensive roll searching or active participation in the variety trading community. The reverse shows John Brown's Fort with trees and neighboring buildings behind it. Different doubled die varieties may show strongest doubling in different quadrants depending on the direction of hub misalignment. WDDR-035's specific doubling characteristics are documented through Wexler die photographs that allow positive identification.
