Description
2016-P WV WDDR-031 is a doubled die reverse on the 2016-P Harpers Ferry National Historical Park quarter (West Virginia) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling lies in the windows of the arch over the central doorway: in the lowest row, windows 2 and 3 counting from the left, and in the second row, windows 1, 2 and 3. On the obverse, small gouges lie in the lower opening of TRUST's S and between UNITED's E and D. On the reverse, weak NW/SE scratches run between the second barrel and the N of BROWN'S, and a gouge sits between the branches over the right roof. Aaron Laramee submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
