Description
2016-P WV WDDR-029 is a doubled die reverse on the 2016-P Harpers Ferry National Historical Park quarter (West Virginia) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling lies in the windows of the arch over the central doorway: in the lowest row, windows 3 and 4 counting from the left. On the obverse, a gouge lies under the left side of QUARTER's A and another inside the upper opening of STATES' first S. On the reverse, a gouge sits over the right side of BROWN's B, and another lies far below the left side of BROWN's N, level with the bottom of FORT. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
