Description
The 2015 (P) Presidential Dollar - Lyndon B. Johnson, Position A is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 7.9 million examples, making this ranked 11th of 16 mint variants by mintage, with 7% of production. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year and the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. The thirty-sixth President (1963–1969), Lyndon B. Johnson assumed office after Kennedy's assassination and enacted landmark legislation including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. His Great Society programs created Medicare and Medicaid. Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson were honored. The Kennedy dollar is collected alongside the Kennedy Half Dollar for a complete set spanning two denominations. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $1 to $9 depending on grade and condition.
