Description
The 2015 (P) Presidential Dollar - Dwight D. Eisenhower, Position A is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 7.3 million examples, making this ranked 7th of 16 mint variants by mintage, with 6% of production. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year and the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. The thirty-fourth President (1953–1961), Dwight D. Eisenhower was the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe during World War II who oversaw postwar prosperity and the creation of the Interstate Highway System. He previously appeared on the Eisenhower dollar (1971–1978), making this his second U.S. dollar coin appearance. Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson were honored. The Kennedy dollar is collected alongside the Kennedy Half Dollar for a complete set spanning two denominations. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $1 to $9 depending on grade and condition.
