Description

Carrying Wexler Variety ID 2015 1¢ WDDO-034, this Lincoln Shield Cent doubled die obverse is distinguished by extra thickness on LIBERTY where the top left branch of the Y is noticeably thicker than the top right — an asymmetric diagnostic that pinpoints the direction of hub displacement. Additional markers include notches on the lower right of ERTY and a short horizontal die gouge between the lower portions of L and I in LIBERTY.
