2015 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-032

Description

2015 WDDO-032 is a doubled die obverse on the 2015 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show extra thickness, the Y's top right branch much thicker than its top left one, and the ERTY is notched at the lower left. Obverse markers: a SW/NE crack across the upper hair, with a chip south of WE's W; a crack from the front of the eyebrow running NNW through the forehead's front; and two chips on the eyebrow. On the reverse, a die break sits on the shield's top left above the first U in PLURIBUS, and in CENT a crack runs east from the lower part of the N to the lower part of the T. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
