Description
2015 WDDO-030 is a doubled die obverse on the 2015 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show strong extra thickness, and the Y's top right branch is much thicker than its top left branch. On the obverse, a crack leaves the eyebrow and runs NNW well into the forehead, and a short scratch lies on the vest front, WSW of the 2 in the date. On the reverse, a die break sits on the shield's top left above the PLUR of PLURIBUS, and a gouge lies just left of the N in ONE, near its top. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
