Description
2015 WDDO-004 is a doubled die obverse on the 2015 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show strong extra thickness, with notches at the lower left of the ERTY; the T is also notched at its upper left. Wexler records two stages. There are no Stage A obverse markers; on the Stage B obverse, a crack starts at the bottom center of the W of WE and heads south, ending in the hair on top of the head. The reverse is the same on both stages: many light scratches running SW/NE through the UNI of UNITED, and a crack along the shield's top left. Tod Brown submitted Stage A and Steve Young Stage B. Wexler lists no cross-references.
