A half dollar from the San Francisco Mint, the 2014 (S) Kennedy Half Dollar - Enhanced - Silver 50th Anniversary Set belongs to the Kennedy Half Dollars 50th Anniversary 2014 series. The obverse features John F. Kennedy facing left, based on the presidential medal by Gilroy Roberts and the reverse displays the Presidential Seal — a heraldic eagle with shield, olive branch, and arrows. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. The San Francisco Mint, a Gold Rush-era institution, now specializes in proof and collector coinage. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 12.5 grams, 30.61 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge.
