The 2014 Kennedy 50th Anniversary Half Dollars is a United States half dollar from the Kennedy Half Dollars 50th Anniversary 2014 series. The obverse features John F. Kennedy facing left, based on the presidential medal by Gilroy Roberts, while the reverse displays the Presidential Seal — a heraldic eagle with shield, olive branch, and arrows. Designed by Gilroy Roberts/Frank Gasparro. 30.61 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. The Kennedy Half Dollar 50th Anniversary program in 2014 celebrated five decades of the Kennedy design with special editions including a gold Kennedy Half Dollar — the first U.S. gold half dollar — and a four-coin silver set featuring different finishes. The 2014-W Gold Kennedy Half Dollar (3/4 ounce of .9999 gold) is one of the most collectible modern U.S. Mint products. The four-coin silver set included Proof, Reverse Proof, Enhanced Uncirculated, and standard Uncirculated finishes.
