Description
2014 WDDO-010 is a doubled die obverse on the 2014 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows strong extra thickness and the date a slight amount. Strong notches mark the lower left of each letter in LIBERTY, and the T is notched at its top left too. Wexler records two stages. Both the Stage A and Stage B obverse carry a small gouge (dot) beneath the R of LIBERTY. Wexler notes no markers on the Stage A reverse; the Stage B reverse has a chip on the shield's top left, above the first U in PLURIBUS. Leonard Matyjasik submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
