Description
2014 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 2014 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows light extra thickness, with notches at the bottom left of the ERTY. Obverse markers: a crack from the eyebrow's front, running NNW through the front of the forehead, and a crack crossing the upper hair W/E, with a large chip on it below the W in WE. Reverse markers: a small gouge just above the shield's top right corner; a crack across the top left of the shield; and a crack running N/S through the crossbar of CENT's T, on its right side, with a large chip on that crack right of the T. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
