Description

Produced at the Philadelphia Mint, the 2014 (P) Arches National Park Quarter is part of the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The Philadelphia Mint struck 214,200,000 Arches quarters dated 2014. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. The reverse depicts Delicate Arch, a freestanding natural sandstone arch, with the La Sal Mountains in the background. Arches National Park contains more than 2,000 natural stone arches, the greatest concentration in the world. Great Smoky Mountains (TN), Shenandoah (VA), Arches (UT), Great Sand Dunes (CO), and Everglades (FL) were honored. Great Smoky Mountains, the most visited national park, drew broad collector interest. Estimated market value ranges from $0.25 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
