The 2014 (D) Native American Dollar - Enhanced, Position A is a special strike dollar struck at the Denver Mint, part of the Sacagawea & Native American Dollars 2000 to Date series. Total mintage reached 2.8 million. The obverse features Sacagawea carrying her infant son Jean Baptiste Crapeau on her back, while the reverse displays rotating designs honoring Native American contributions to the United States. Designed by Glenna Goodacre/Chris Costello. Struck in 77% copper, 12% zinc, 1% other over a pure copper core, weighing 8.1 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge. Cataloged as PCGS #535820. The Sacagawea Dollar (2000-2008) honored the Shoshone woman who guided the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
