Description
2012 WDDO-011 is a doubled die obverse on the 2012 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows strong extra thickness; the Y is considerably thicker at its top right than at its top left, and the ERTY letters carry notches at their lower left. On the obverse, a small gouge (dot) lies between the 0 and the 1 of the date. On the reverse, above the PL of PLURIBUS, there is a pre-die crack depression on the upper left part of the shield. Leonard Matyjasik submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
