Description
2012 WDDO-008 is a doubled die obverse on the 2012 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows strong extra thickness, with notches at the lower left of the ERTY. On the obverse, a pre-die crack depression crosses the upper hair on a SW/NE line. On the reverse, a crack follows the upper left edge of the shield; on the shield's top there is a large chip above the LU of PLURIBUS and another chip above the B. Stephen Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
