2011 (P) Olympic National Park Quarter - Atypical Die Clash ADC-25C-2011-01OL

Description

ADC-25c-2011-01(OL) is an atypical die clash on a 2011-P Olympic National Park quarter from the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The clash is strong on the obverse, with some signs of it on the reverse, and neither die was abraded afterward. The trees of the reverse design left most of the obverse marks; the elk's antlers, rocks and trees account for others, and marks also show in front of Washington's nose. Below Washington's chin, the marks come from the treetops on the reverse's left side. On the reverse die, the back of Washington's hair left the only obvious mark.
