Description

2009-P WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2009 John Tyler Presidential dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling shows where the Statue of Liberty's right arm meets the second ray, counting clockwise from the head. On the obverse, a scratch links the lower J of JOHN with its O, TYLER's R has many scratches running NE from it, and in 1841 a scratch joins the lower part of the 4 to the 1. On the reverse, the fifth ray clockwise from the head has two parallel scratches heading NE off its lower right side. Marilyn Keeney submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
