Description
2008-P AZ WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 2008-P Arizona state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the earlobe's underside. Obverse markers: a small round gouge (dot) just over the E of AMERICA at its lower right horizontal bar; a short scratch running north from the C of AMERICA at its lower right tip; a crack reaching into the field from the bust's left tip; and a chip on the bust's left base. On the reverse, there is die pitting between the first two rays of the sun on the left; a gouge lies just under the N of ARIZONA, and a small gouge sits left of the 2 in 1912 near its top. Danny Chapman submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
