Description

The strongest of the three 2007 Wyoming State Quarter doubled die reverses in this batch, DDR-033 is cataloged by VarietyVista as UVC-1755 / DMR-036 and features very strong spread with medium strength visible under the saddle horn of the bucking horse and rider. Wyoming's State Quarter reverse, designed by Norman E. Nemeth, depicts a cowboy astride a bucking bronco — an image drawn from the state's iconic frontier heritage. The saddle horn sits at the junction of rider and horse, a compact design element where even moderate hub displacement can produce noticeable secondary images. Very strong spread on DDR-033 sets it apart from the medium-spread varieties DDR-045 and DDR-046, as the greater hub offset creates wider separation between the primary and doubled images. Confirmed at Early Die State (Stage A), the bold doubling should be identifiable under the saddle horn area without difficulty on well-struck specimens. Wyoming quarters were struck at both Philadelphia and Denver in 2007 as part of the 50 State Quarters program, and doubled die varieties on state quarter reverses are especially prized by collectors of this popular series.
