2007 (P) Wyoming State Quarter - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-003

Description

2007-P WY WDDO-003 is a doubled die obverse on the 2007-P Wyoming state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the earlobe's underside. Obverse Stage A has a gouge inside the R of AMERICA, low down, and a crack reaching into the field from the bust's front point; on Stage B a chip has formed on that crack at the front point. Reverse Stage A has a small gouge right of the Y in EQUALITY near its base and a pre-die chip depression left of the middle of the tail; Stage B shows a pre-die chip depression on the T of EQUALITY at its upper right. Steven Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
