2007 (P) Wyoming State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse DDR-009

Description

2007-P WY DDR-009 is a doubled die reverse on the 2007-P Wyoming state quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. A medium spread shows around the outer edge of the saddle horn. VarietyVista also gives it as 9-R-VIII, and its chart numbers are UVC-1702 and DMR-011. VarietyVista's chart has four die stages. On Stage A, both the reverse and the obverse are at an early die state (EDS). Stage B brings a depression outside the upper part of the tail and a die crack from the tip of the nose, both marked EMDS (early middle die state). Stage C adds a depression outside the horse's rump, a die break outside the point where the back legs cross, a die chip on the upper lip and another on the front of the bust; the rump depression and the lip chip carry the MDS (middle die state) code. Stage D, a late die state (LDS), is unconfirmed. Reported to VarietyVista by Kenneth Russell.
