2007 (P) Wyoming Satin Finish State Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-016

Description

WDDR-016, a doubled die reverse identified for the 2007 Philadelphia Mint Wyoming State Quarter, reflects the extensive die variety research conducted on this issue featuring the iconic bucking horse and rider — Wyoming's enduring symbol of frontier heritage. Doubled die reverses on State Quarters manifest in the commemorative design elements unique to each state, meaning Wyoming DDR varieties can show doubling in the bronco buster figure, the inscriptions, or other design elements specific to this quarter. The State Quarter program, running from 1999 through 2008, generated enormous public interest and spawned a generation of variety hunters examining rolls and bags for die anomalies. Cross-referenced as Wexler Variety ID 2007-P 25¢ SF WY WDDR-016, this variety contributes to the Wyoming quarter die inventories in the attribution system.
