2006 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-036

Description

2006 WDDO-036 is a doubled die obverse on the 2006 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY is thickened, and ERTY carries notches on the lower right. On the obverse, a SW/NE crack crosses the hair at the upper back of the head and reaches the lower left of the W in WE, with a chip on its lower part. A second crack heads NNW from the eyebrow and continues through the forehead. On the reverse, a small gouge touches the I in UNITED at its lower right; a small gouge lies inside the base of the E in UNITED; and a small gouge sits over the right end of the Memorial base. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
