2006 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-012

Description

2006 WDDO-012 is a doubled die obverse on the 2006 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The date and LIBERTY are thickened, and ERTY carries notches on the upper left. On the obverse, a gouge sits north of the 6 of the date, and a crack heads NW from the eyebrow, ending in the hair over the forehead. On the reverse: a small gouge close to the rim, left of the F in OF; small gouges on and under the left end of the Memorial base; a crack on the upper E in CENT; and a crack from the lower E in ONE out to the rim. Robert H. Neff submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
