Description
2006 WDDO-011 is a doubled die obverse on the 2006 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The date and LIBERTY are thickened, and ERTY carries notches on the lower right. Some thickening also appears on the lower beard and hair details and on the lapel fold over the bowtie. On the obverse, a gouge lies left of the I in IN, high on the letter, and a scratch heads NE from the upper left of the second T in TRUST. On the reverse: a small gouge beneath the U in UNITED; chips on the upper part of the first column and the lower part of the second; a gouge right of the middle of the T in CENT; and a strong crack north of the second column. William Slaughter submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
