2006 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-006

Description

2006-D WDDR-006 is a doubled die reverse on the 2006-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the left side of the seventh Memorial column, right of the statue's knees. Wexler also notes possible doubling on the lower right side of the sixth column, left of the statue's legs. On the obverse, a small gouge lies south of the D in GOD on its left side, and a scratch heads NNE from the top rear of the beard, ending right of the lower lip. On the reverse: short upright scratches over the N and I of UNITED; many scratches running WSW from the lower tip of the left end of the Memorial base; a small chip on the lower left of the L in PLURIBUS; a SW-to-NE crack across the top of the first column; and a chip on the upper left of the second column. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 5-R-VIII.
