Error
Description
Doubling shows on the left side of the 7th Memorial column to the right of the statue’s knees. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge can be found south of the left side of the D in GOD. A die scratch runs NNE from the top of the back of the beard ending to the right of the lower lip. Reverse: Short, vertical die scratches can be found above the N and the I of UNITED. Numerous die scratches run WSW from the bottom tip of the left Memorial base. A small die chip can be found on the bottom left L of PLURIBUS. A die crack runs from SW to NE at the top of the 1st Memorial column. A die chip can be found on the top left side of the 2nd Memorial column. Obverse:
