2004 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-007

Description

2004 WDDO-007 is a doubled die obverse on the 2004 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling appears as notches on the upper left of ERTY in LIBERTY, along with some extra thickness on the date. On the obverse, a gouge (dot) lies over the second zero of the date, two gouges (dots) are south of the 2, and a gouge (dot) sits above the rear of Lincoln's eyebrow. On the reverse, a gouge is left of the U in UNITED, low on the letter. Another gouge lies right of the last column, left of the lower right of the second A in AMERICA. A scratch heads NNE from the lower right side of the seventh column. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Crawford lists it as CDDO-009.
