2004 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-006

Description

2004 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 2004 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling appears as notches on the upper left of ERTY in LIBERTY. On the obverse: a gouge (dot) just to the south of the B in LIBERTY; two gouges between the bottoms of the two zeros of the date; and a gouge just over the first zero, toward its right side. On the reverse: strong wavy steps under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, slanting SSW; a gouge over the N in CENT on its left side; a small gouge between the first U of PLURIBUS and the N of UNUM; a chip in the top of the N in UNUM; and a crack down the left side of the second column that continues NNE into the roof. Billy G. Crawford submitted the variety. Crawford lists it as CDDO-010, and its Coppercoins number is 2004P-1DO-003.
