Description

A spread to the ESE shows on the ERTY of LIBERTY and also on the date. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A die scratch can be found in the field east of the front curl of hair. A die gouge (dot) can be found southwest of the first T of TRUST. Obverse Stage B: A die gouge (dot) now shows between the words IN and GOD while a nice die crack extends northwest through the forehead from Lincoln’s eyebrow. Reverse Stage A: A die gouge (dot) can be seen north of the statue while another can be seen in the fifth bay to the left of the statue. Short die cracks show at the top of the third and fourth columns. A large die chip can be found on the lower first column. Reverse Stage B: The reverse of Stage A has been replaced with a new reverse. A die gouge (dot) can be found north of the upper right Memorial.
