Description

2001-D WDDR-011 is a doubled die reverse on the 2001-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. On column six, to the statue's left, a slanted extended bar links the knee with the upper leg. Obverse markers: gouges beneath both the 2 and the first 0 in the date; a gouge above the ER of LIBERTY; and around IN, a gouge beneath the I, a gouge touching the I on its left side, and a gouge to the left side of the N. Reverse markers: a gouge on the lower edge of the first E in E PLURIBUS; a gouge inside the lower opening of the C in AMERICA; a series of gouges around the N of ONE; and a gouge right of the middle of the E in CENT. Daniel Griffin submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
