Denver Mint counterpart to the Philadelphia varieties cataloged for 2001, this Lincoln Memorial Cent DDR-005 from VarietyVista shows a medium spread to the east — the opposite direction from the westward spread seen on the Philadelphia DDR-028. The doubling creates an extra column at position six, visible from knee to foot, along with an extra knee between the knees of the seated Lincoln figure. Cross-referenced as UVC-3049 and DMR-006, this variety's eastward displacement contrasts instructively with west-spreading varieties, illustrating how the direction of hub shift during die sinking determines where ghost images appear relative to the primary design.
