1997 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-023

Description

1997 WDDR-023 is a doubled die reverse on the 1997 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the sixth column, left of the statue, an extended bar runs from the upper leg down to the bottom of the foot. On the obverse, one die chip sits centered under the 19 of the date and another lies under the second 9. On the reverse, a die chip lies east of the middle of the right upright of the N in CENT, and another sits beneath that N's diagonal bar. There is a large die chip at the left cornice, and a die chip left of the top of the first Memorial column. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
