Description

1997 WDDR-018 is a doubled die reverse on the 1997 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the sixth column, left of the statue, a bar connects the lower leg with the upper base. On the obverse, a die chip lies above and between the second 9 and the 7 of the date. On the reverse, two chips touch the top left of the crossbar of the T in UNITED. A scratch starts at the rim, crosses the M in AMERICA through its left upright, and heads toward the Memorial roof, and a gouge sits right of the upper A of AMERICA. Steve Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
