1997 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-012

Description

1997 WDDR-012 is a doubled die reverse on the 1997 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the sixth column, left of the statue, a bar runs from the lower leg to the upper part of the base. Wexler notes no obverse markers. On reverse Stage A, a gouge lies beneath UNITED, between its T and E. A chip sits at the center of the underside of the crossbar of the N in UNUM, and another touches the upright of the R in PLURIBUS at the middle of its left side. Right of the foot of the G in FG there is a further chip. Reverse Stage B shows a gouge over the O in OF, a chip touching the top of the P in PLURIBUS, a chip touching the N of UNUM at the center of its bottom, NNW-to-SSE scratches through PLURIBUS, and a chip below and left of the N in CENT. Steve Young submitted Stage A and Daniel Griffin Stage B. Wexler lists no cross-references.
