Description

The second documented reverse cud for the 1994 Philadelphia Roosevelt Dime, CU-10c-1994P-05R was cataloged by Cuds on Coins at the fifth reverse rim position, a different location from the 02R companion variety also known for this date. When a die fractures at its edge and a piece separates, the resulting coins display a raised blank area where the missing fragment can no longer transfer design detail, creating the characteristic cud that collectors seek.
