Documented by Cuds on Coins as CU-10c-1994P-02R, this 1994 Philadelphia Roosevelt Dime features a cud at the second cataloged reverse rim position for this date and mint combination. A cud error occurs when a segment of the die fractures and separates at the rim, leaving an area of the struck coin with a raised, featureless mass of metal where the broken die fragment can no longer impress design detail. The 02R designation places this cud at a specific reverse location, distinguishing it from the companion variety CU-10c-1994P-05R, which documents a separate cud from a different die at the fifth reverse position.
